Baroness Karina Behr - Internationally Acclaimed Portrait Artist

Karina Behr, a South African of Russian lineage began her studies in Fine Art at Schools in Munich and Paris. After living in England for 20 years, and France for 2, she returned to South Africa, studying for three years at The Ruth Prowse Art School, taught by Ryno Swart, winning the Merit Award and a portrait prize. Her work has been sold through Everard Read and commissions are in many private collections. She has exhibited in London, Switzerland and in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. She has recently returned from a course of Life drawing and Portraiture at the Florence Art Academy, Italy. My WorkKarina Behr specialises in portraits in oil or pastel and can work either from live sittings or photographs.
